In 1973, Mr. Tjing Ling Yen and Madam Vivian Wu Yen founded the Tjing Ling Yen Industrial Development Foundation, initially focusing on industrial research, development, talent scholarships, and charitable causes. Renamed later, it partnered with National Taiwan University in 1975 to establish the non-profit Mr. Tjing Ling Yen Industrial Research Institute.
Since inception, the institute has been committed to advancing industrial science and technology, cultivating tech talents, fostering global cooperation, and facilitating technological exchange. It has significantly contributed to the development of domestic and international industries, advancing technology.
